I went into the pharmacy visibly congested and suffering from allergies. I asked the first person that I saw if I could get some Allegra-D. They then started to ask me if I was a local, where I lived, etc. I told them I was from Grand Rapids but had a cabin in Hart about a mile from the pharmacy. They asked to see my ID and I handed it to them. I was informed that "we only sell to locals, sorry". When I spoke up and said that I didn't think that was ethical or moral and that I believed it was illegal to refuse to sell to someone because they are not local, the Pharmacist (male, approx mid 50's) stepped out from behind the counter and informed me that they are a privately owned business and they they can choose who they want to sell to. Go to hometown pharmacy up the road, it's less than a mile, they are so much more friendly, polite and professional.
